i've finally done it. i have attempted for so long to regularly blog my thoughts but i just haven't. So, i went and got myself an actual blog. Now i won't be just blogging on myspace or writing facebook notes, i have a blog to call home. Maybe this will keep me blogging.
Anyway, the purpose of this here blog is to bring to light some issues that most would find subversive (hence the title). i'm not here to advocate anarchy, i just think that the way our country is being ran and the way we live our lives is not only greedy and wrong, but it's unsustainable. The current economic system, for example, is based on the knowledge that people, at their core are greedy and self-centered. While this may be effective for making some rich, it is ultimately incredibly exploitative and destructive. However, due to the greed that can infiltrate the church (as we've seen through history) capitalism has become so tied up with american christianity that most don't know any different. In fact, if you work for a certain christian college in CO, you might be fired for speaking against capitalism (as if it were a pillar of christian faith)
i'll stop now because i hadn't really intended to say all this in my first blog. i need to sit down and work out the vortex of thoughts in my head before i post again. But feel free to comment. Positive or negative comments are both greatly appreciated.
